I feel like this article was pretty outdated in that women are still looked at to be the ones to sit around and be house wives kind of thing but now a days women are just as equal to men in most aspects in United States. It talked about the difference in receiving an education and claiming an education in that you go to school to claim in education. Her main statement or something that really jumped out at me was that you should be responsible for yourself. Branching off of that the reading talked about thinking for yourself and not letting anyone tell you how to be, also that you shouldn't take the easy way out, challenge yourself and make something of yourself. Take yourself seriously and take others seriously was the second main point that was talked about. I think that the questions at the end really got you to think and let you bring all that you read and your feelings together. I agreed with the main points of this reading that don't take the easy way out in school and that be true to yourself and stand up for who you are.
